The S Clifford hit/injury and the response by many saying Iowa doesn’t win with him still in the game!? I disagree for the following reasons: 1. Clifford running (numerous occasions) was part of their game plan, it was just a matter of time that he would of been “nicked up” and or hurt (based on Iowa’s personnel with downhill hitters) 2. If you can’t protect your QB in the pocket then what we witnessed is generally what will occur (excellent form tackle #31). So Iowa has displaced (removed from the game) 3 QB’s (Pennix, Purdy..non injury, Clifford)..ALL clean legal strikes! So does give the remaining D coordinators something else to ponder pertaining to how they’ll run their QB’s..if at all!? Go Hawks!
