It's hard to overstate the increased difficulty encountered by the defense when having
to contend with a QB who is a threat to run for even 5 yards. It's the equivalent of
the offense having an additional player.

We ( and the defenses) know that our guy doesn't have the escapability to do that on
his own. BUT, if maybe twice a game, we run a QB draw that looks like he's being flushed
out of the pocket, that would change the defense's perception. It would slow their pass rush,
and force changes in their entire defense.

The QB can slide to avoid injury. Since the strength of our OL is in the middle, gaining 5 yards
on a on a well executed QB draw is a reasonable expectation.

It's one of the things we can do to help open up our offense.
