What is the solution here? We basically maxed out our potential this year getting 10 wins with Petras/Padilla. With a brutal schedule next year it’s going to get ugly quick unless something gets figured out here.

agreed - what a jokeLabas? A transfer? I don’t want to hear or see anything about our QBs working out with this guru or that guru over the summer.

Says a lot about how pathetic KOK is if our QBs are getting QB gurus to coach them upLabas? A transfer? I don’t want to hear or see anything about our QBs working out with this guru or that guru over the summer.
Zac Wilson and Trey Lance have entered the chat.Don't worry boys, Ken O'keefe will fix it.....he's really good at that and has a proven track record.
But Labas has apparently looked far better in practice than Hogan, which is probably one of the reasons Hogan transferred. So missing out on your guy sometimes matters, but sometimes the guy behind him was better. We chose Petras over Zack Wilson - look how that turned out.I hope Labas is the guy, but the reality is, Iowa has missed out on all of its main targets in the 20 class (Labas) and 21 class (May) and both guys they got were fall back guys.
Oh, and the guy they actually wanted in the 19 class (Hogan) has transferred.
I'm not saying KOK isn't doing a poor job but going to see a specialist doesn't really mean much in that regard. Now whoever petras saw actively promoting himself through videos of his play, that's a big oof.Says a lot about how pathetic KOK is if our QBs are getting QB gurus to coach them up
Well, seeing that his offer list is 'peppered' with MAC offers, my guess is that Labas will not set the college football world on fire any time soon....Yeah if Labas isn’t the second coming of Long they need to hit the portal ASAP

Yeah as much as people like myself are killing Brian and rightfully so KOK warrants criticism too. What we are paying him and results from qb is pretty under whelming on top of being brought in to hold the hand of our inexperienced OC who has done a poor job.Says a lot about how pathetic KOK is if our QBs are getting QB gurus to coach them up
It's funny how last year a large number of people say Petras didn't have spring practice. Well when he did get spring practice, that really didn't seem to help. I'm kind of at a lossWhat is the solution here? We basically maxed out our potential this year getting 10 wins with Petras/Padilla. They weren’t fall back guys in my book because they still got them plenty early. Labas ended up highly ranked on 247.I hope Labas is the guy, but the reality is, Iowa has missed out on all of its main targets in the 20 class (Labas) and 21 class (May) and both guys they got were fall back guys.

QB is part of the problemQB is not our problem, the oline is
Our OL has had issues for sure, but not nearly as much of a problem as QB, and I actually trust this coaching staff to fix OL issues. Our QB play has been downright dreadful and I have no idea how it is going to get fixed.QB is not our problem, the oline is
BS, the Oline is a problem but our current QBs especially Petras are not BIG material. Petras was overthrowing guys by 30 feet, is quick to just chuck it out of bounds. Pass....QB is not our problem, the oline is
Why not both?QB is not our problem, the oline is
Not sure we know how good or bad our current QBs are. They play in a horrible offensive system with what appears to be less than stellar coaching in BF and KOK. If I could only keep one of the two., it would be Padiila. This is no knock on Spencer. The reality he just does not have the mobility to extend plays and throw on the run. Padilla has shown some flashes that he is capable of that. Padilla at least makes the defense account for his mobility. The days of the QB as a "Game Manager" are pretty much gone. What is the solution here? We basically maxed out our potential this year getting 10 wins with Petras/Padilla. Rank em:This
Kent state qb wish we had just sayingWell, seeing that his offer list is 'peppered' with MAC offers, my guess is that Labas will not set the college football world on fire any time soon....
If he doesn't, his time will be coming to an end ....Pray that Labas is something, because Kirk won't go portal shopping for a qb.
Yeah right. If he doesn't, his time will be coming to an end ....
Over the last seven years, Iowa has had 3 4* QB recruits. Not bad for Iowa.Don't worry boys, Ken O'keefe will fix it.....he's really good at that and has a proven track record.
Any coach that doesn't take full advantage of the portal will get left behind... sooner than laterYeah right.
Take the red jerseys off in practice so they don’t crap their pants in gamesLabas? A transfer? I don’t want to hear or see anything about our QBs working out with this guru or that guru over the summer.
