Picked up treehouse last night, OH MY GAWD!!! I had the worst food poisoning. Was shittng and vomiting at the same damn time for an hour.
I knew about the owner. Heard about covid. They had something unsavory in that food.Last I heard they knowingly had people with COVID working. Plus the owner Brian Rashid is a massive piece of work. Never Tree House, bro.
probably fecal matterI knew about the owner. Heard about covid. They had something unsavory in that food.
That’s that you get for giving money to that drunk, sociopathic POS Brian Rashid. Sorry you had to learn it the hard way.Picked up treehouse last night, OH MY GAWD!!! I had the worst food poisoning. Was shittng and vomiting at the same damn time for an hour.

Have you tried the taco place that’s where Centro used to be?Shameless bump. Had some taquitos from Fat Sacks in downtown Dport. They have some good stuff!
Tacobar? I have been there a handful of times and have had mixed experiences, but I do like the menu. Reminds me of Torchy's in Texas. I definitely don't recommend ordering carry out. They don't travel well at allHave you tried the taco place that’s where Centro used to be?

Kind of surprised they have lasted through all of this
You definitely need to give it a try.. I absolutely love it. The Street Paco is spectacularI still haven’t made it to Lopiez yet. Have heard good things.
Prince was treated for his OD after landing here!

Not very well, apparently. 😳
Appreciate the info. I've avoided the place so far because they chose orange as their accent color so I just assumed they had horrible taste.Last week I tried Food Affair Bistro - up where Jumers used to be in Bettendorf.
Very solid - I like places with a relatively limited menu because you know they do a few things very well. I got the “naanwhich” - which features Indian spiced chicken wrapped in warm naan bread. It was excellent. My friend had a very good looking Cuban sandwich.
I recommend

Note to self: avoid Treehouse next time in QCs.

Oh, you probably also have Rona. Long thread on “People of Davenport” about Rashid making sick servers work. Ts and Ps.
Wait, Jumers is gone!? What restaurants are left in the quads that smell and look like old people and that have random suits of armor for decorations?Last week I tried Food Affair Bistro - up where Jumers used to be in Bettendorf.

I always felt safe there.Wait, Jumers is gone!? What restaurants are left in the quads that smell and look like old people and that have random suits of armor for decorations?
In fairness, I have never eaten there and had never heard of it.I've eaten there like 4 times and always get the Club which is f'ing amazing. My parents eat there every time they're being degenerates at the QC casinos. Never had an issue.
I did hear the owner pisses in the backseat of Uber/Lyft rides but I too have had too much to drink from time to time. He kind of sounds like a scumbag from this thread.
Also, we love Sriracha Thai Bistro and Oyster Bar
It didn't exactly look like a place where a riot would break out:I always felt safe there.
And if a riot did break out; there were some fellas wearing suits of ****ing armor and carrying swords and halberds and morning stars and other medieval shit to put a swift end to whatever shenanigans were happening. It didn't exactly look like a place where a riot would break out:
Someone else played dungeons and dragons as a kid...halberds and morning stars

And this is where the sexy time happened:True story: I got engaged there, popped the question underneath a stuffed boar’s head.
Amazingly, still married to the same woman!

It was 1.1 miles from my abode in high school, and a mere 0.7 miles from my wife's childhood abode. We are also still married, almost 25 years later. I only went to Jumer's once. I think it was for MORP or some high school dance.Spent my wedding night there. Approximately .3 miles from my house at the time. T’was a good night and amazingly, still married to that same woman!

The owner of the Tree House is a miserable excuse for a human being. The guy who owns the 11th Street precinct is a saint in comparison. At least he tries to invest in the community and is not an ongoing threat to drivers. Homophobe, but then he is old, it takes a while for people to come around.Picked up treehouse last night, OH MY GAWD!!! I had the worst food poisoning. Ugh, don't get me started on the idiocy of Davenport aldermen on this issue.
Yea it's ridiculous. They need to change the term limits. Carter has done awesome work but only so much he can do with these curmudgeons who don't like changeUgh, don't get me started on the idiocy of Davenport aldermen on this issue.
True story: Since 1980, the city has paid FOUR separate consultants for FOUR separate studies -- each one at a cost of six figures -- to look at a "complete streets" approach to traffic/transmodal issues across the city and EVERY SINGLE ONE recommended eliminating one-ways on 3rd and 4th as a way to calm traffic and make the downtown more pedestrian and business friendly.
After each study, the Council has punted on making a decision -- presumably for no other reason than concern that people fear change. Add in the fact that Davenport City Council terms are a ludicrous two-years, and you have a recipe for constant kicking the can down the road.
So basically, they have spent more than $1 million in taxpayer dollars over 40 years to be told unequivocally over and over that the data recommends converting the two-ways. And they refuse to implement it. Even as the price of doing so increases every single year.
It's madness.
