Not sure I agree, as I don't even think it's the best brewery here (I like Great River in Davenport better) but kind of cool to see this Moline brewery ranked up there with Half Acre, Flossmoor, Revolution and others:

Homebrew store owner Tim Koster had dreamed of setting up his own brewery for years when in 1996, with the help of investors, he transformed his store in downtown Moline into a brewpub and by 1999 was crafting Bent River Brewing Company’s first keg of American pale ale. Now producing over 10,000 barrels of beer a year, Bent River Brewing Company also boasts a second brewery and tasting room in neighboring Rock Island. Try its Mississippi Blonde – a popular, light-bodied golden ale that took a bronze medal at the Great American Beer Festival in 2007.

Uncommon Stout is pretty good. Don't think I've had anything else of theirs. The Sweet Potato Ale has my attention though.

Is that the brewery I met you at? I think they had a pale ale that was ok, but the rest wasn't too good. The food needs more improvement than the beer though.

Yeah, they opened a new location in Rock Island - with a larger brewing facility - and I think their beer making has improved quite a bit since then. The food is very hit-or-miss. They have a couple of things that are pretty good for pub food - notably the meatloaf sandwich - but a lot of their stuff is average at best. No one goes there for the cuisine.

Really nice outdoor beer garden, though.

So am I. It's right next to the distillery, correct? I love their logo.
yes, next to distillery. Learned a couple weeks ago that the owners are customers of mine. Chatted with them for a bit and they were still waiting on the state to give final OK so they could start brewing. Based on the site and FB I'm guessing they got it, and are opening as soon as they have beer ready.
