Question for Gulf Coast/Atlantic Coast People

When you’re evacuating with pets, what do you do with cats? Especially anxious cats? My fiancée (no pics) and I have been looking around the country for places to live and, having spent my childhood summers in Pensacola, I love the Gulf Coast area. We vacation in Biloxi and/or Pensacola twice a year or so. We’re just concerned about evacuating with our pets. How does all that even work? Like, hotels and stuff with pets?

Some hotels will accept pets. Shelters in Florida accept pets, but I believe there are some requirements.
