My younger cousin is a drug abuser and seller. I guess his house got raided this morning according to my mom. I hope he goes away for 10 years. Anyway, why do most police raids seem to happen in the dawn/morning? Is it because people aren't alert yet?

Yep, the best time to catch them is sleeping.

Just a guess but yes that's part of it. They also don't raid it for no reason. I'm sure they have the place under surveillance and likely had an informant or undercover in there during the night to verify whatever they were wanting to find is in the house. Drug houses arent at their busiest during bank hours.

Might also be about the people around him too. All the cops coming to do the raid could draw attention and someone paying attention during the day might have the chance to tip them off.
