Thanks for the alphabetical listing. I think you failed to mention Nebraska?

Thanks. I’ll add Nebby to the futility list.
Which team makes its 21st century sweet sixteen appearance first?

Iowa or Nebraska?

My money is on Hoiberg's Huskers.

In order of likelihood:

1. Northwestern
2. Rutgers
3. Nebraska
4. Iowa
5. Minn

All current Big 12 teams except TCU, UCF and Colorado. In the teams left behind by the PAC-12, add Washington State to the list. Someone else can look at the ACC and Big East. Get those and Iowa might not be in such rare company. It's at 11 without them.

I think that is the Cursed 5 of B1G....looks like another year and none of them will make it.

If you count

ACC— (15 of 17 ) only Wake Forest and Cal have not made a Sweet 16 in 21st century

Big East (10 of 11) - DePaul

SEC (14 of 16) — Georgia and Mississippi State

Of the 78 programs in power conferences for basketball (I consider Big East a Power conference due to multiple national titles for both UConn and Villanova in recent years), 65 have made a Sweet 16 this century (83%). Iowa one of the bottom 13 who haven’t made it to the second weekend.

Not that I needed the reminder, but yeah. I know some will tell us that getting past the 2nd round is only one more win that doesn't mean anything, that we're not supposed to be bothered by this drought, and to just shut up about it.
