Commitment No. 22 for the Hawkeyes.

Could play WR or CB, but Iowa projects him to start out at CB initially.

Welcome aboard! Go Hawks!
A very good pickup for the Hawks. I've watched him play in games the last few years and 7on7s this summer and he's been the best athlete on the field against very good competition. He's primarily played wr at 7 on 7s this summer but central would use him on d when needed. He just makes plays - if the ball is around him he goes and gets it.

There's another very good receiver from Naperville in the '17 class - Isaiah Robertson that Iowa has offered and would be a good pickup.

looks like the iowa coaches want him on defense. from everything i am hearing on this kid, he's a hell of an athlete and he needs to play offense.

Iowa doesn't need shutdown corners. They play cover 6 80% of the time. Iowa needs playmakers on offense
Not when they actually have a shut down corner. Amari Spievey allowed the D do things very differently, and they haven't done them since. He played man while the rest of the D was in zone. The coach who was explaining this to my son described it like having an extra player on the field. It'll be interesting to see if King gets to the same level.

Excellent! If he has the hands, then let CJB feed him balls all fall long! We will need him next year for certain...

We needs CBs pretty bad. Our top four will be gone in a couple years, Omar Truitt is the only scholarship CB on the roster right now unless Embry plays CB. Maybe Joly will end up moving back, but there's not much depth at all. There are plenty of WRs

Whatever position he ends up at, he looks like a good pickup. Very good athlete. They have started doing better in Illinois again.

Sounds like a good pick up. I think it's always good to get the good ones out of the state of Illinois.

It's interesting that he'll get a shot at CB first ... especially considering we were seemingly "full" at CB before. Maybe his versatility to play WR also kept the door open for him?

I don't think they were ever full at DB.
There was buzz some while ago that Max Wariboko was going to commit to the Hawks ... but then nothing ever came of it and it was postulated that we told him that we were full at CB. Maybe that was complete nonsense - or maybe it wasn't. I don't know.

It does take a couple years to learn the offensive playbook. Maybe he can step in on defense right away!
