I scanned through this article. My understanding is that the point of the article is that someone has more antibodies against the Delta variant if they have had previously had Covid than those who have just had the vaccine. This would make sense to me, but the problem is that many people who are contracting Covid are ending up in the hospital and some are even dying. Also, that article did not say that the vaccine did not work. Based on my limited knowledge, it still appears that getting the vaccine is less risky than contracting Covid in the first place.

I said that it makes sense to me that people who had Covid have more protection than those who have had the vaccine. That does not mean that the vaccine does not offer some protection and far fewer people are being hospitalized or dying from the vaccine than Covid. The risk to me is still far greater to expose yourself to Covid than to taking the vaccine.

It is also the case, that people with previously documented infections, a single vaccine dose significantly increases their immunity levels. Because the amount of immunity conveyed by an infection can vary widely.
