Raneys update

133 and 141 most likely.
They have stated in a more recent interview that they see themselves as 149/157.

From the article = "While many questions remain unanswered in the Raney Brothers' recruiting process, one thing is certain, they're a package deal. Jayden could end up at 141 lbs or 149 lbs, and Jordyn believes he'll be at 149 lbs or 157 lbs."

The article was from summer 2024.

No chance they get that big that quickly. I could see them growing into those weights…possibly.

Maybe they threw those weights out there in case they go to Penn State — no doubt they could get that big, that quickly!

What’s quickly. They still have a year left in high school could be two seasons before they hit a lineup.

Maybe, but 133 sounds very unlikely. If they redshirt, that's 3 years from now. Maturity plus college weight room and I don't doubt their guess.

I guess my joke wasn’t that good if it went over too many heads. In other words, I can see Raney getting to 157 at Penn State and only at Penn State. I figured this would trigger the PSU trolls

We aren't getting the Raneys so we have no dog in this fight. I take them at their word when they quote 149/157. I give that a 75% chance with 141/149 having a 25% chance. If they redshirt.

One of them is registered for Vegas Greco 55kg.
So 133/141 sounds about right
Why do you keep pissing on your leg and tell us it's raining? The kids themselves say they project to 149/157. Why fight so hard on this issue? They are a minimum of two year out from wrestling as a starter. What their weight is today is meaningless. I trust their opinion more than yours.

a little aggressive maybe. It’s a reasonable take. That’s like 121 lbs and they could go as true freshman in like 19 months.

Who's fighting lol. I may have mentioned it one other time

Well, let’s just say most college programs are recruiting them for 133 and 141 and they have been doing this for quite some time. This not to say they won’t grow to 149 but 157 is a bit of a stretch. But, if they grow like David Taylor did — it really won’t matter because they are good enough to go whatever weight they want.

Let’s just land them and let it all fall into place

How long have they been at their current weight? How tall are they? Are they cutting much right now? Most people are fully grown going into their senior year. I think they are adopted, so what are their calculations of their future size based on? Most people and computer programs base this on genetics.

Don’t think so hard. It’s not good for you
