I've been absent since Friday...but I was able to watch the game.
Frustrating.
Since I'm no genius as to the problems deeper than what I see, I kinda tend to believe Iowa must use Toren Young more (and once Butler gets ready, him), splitting with the Wadley/IKM combo and get back to "tough running", cause I can't help but believe it's easier to defend against one style of back than two.
Second...when you go to the game plan Iowa employs, turnovers like what happened to Stanley are absolute killers. I've seen that happen before, and I still don't quite understand how the hell it happens. Yes, Young's fumble also was a killer...but it's less certain we get points there and Iowa HAD to have that 7 on the first drive that far down the field.
Third, the punting game cost Iowa 10 points yesterday. Must. Improve. Now. No offense is going to do well when it gets the ball inside the 10 3/4 the game and gives the opponent so many starts inside our 50.
Fourth...the long pass misses, we gotta hit those given the running game woes. Everything else about those plays looks like it's getting done correct. Stanley, that's on you, son.
Lastly, I guess we miss Ike and Boone Myers a bit on the o-line...
I dunno what the heck is going to happen the rest of the season.
