Mentioned this last night, but just received a text from New Jersey running back Jon Lovett this morning confirming that he will make an official visit to Iowa this weekend. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Lovett, a Rutgers commit, has a game tonight and then will be flying to Iowa on Saturday morning.
The Hawkeyes just offered Lovett on November 3. He also picked up a new offer from Penn State this season and visited State College in October.
As a senior this season, Lovett currently has 135 carries for 1,144 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also has 14 catches and 203 yards receiving for Cherokee High School in Marlton, NJ.
