Really fun Suterman interview of Dr Tom Davis. If you didn't rebound, you got pulled from the game

Tom talks about how he emphasized rebounding and if you didn't rebound you got pulled from the game.

A couple of other fun discussions:

* Remember Kevin Gamble? Last season Kevin completed his first year on the Toronto Raptors staff and is an NBA Champion. Prior to that, Gamble was on head coach Keno Davis’ (Tom's son) Providence staff (from 2010-12) and Central Michigan staff (since Keno joined CMU in 2012).

* Do you remember that Les Jepsen was the 28th overall pick by the Golden State Warriors in the 1990 NBA Draft?

Another great story:

BJ's dad called Tom up after Tom took the Iowa job. BJ's dad said he thought BJ was going to transfer. Where? Central Michigan. And the reason? BJ didn't think he was good enough to play in the B1G.

Some really good stuff.

1st pick of 2nd round. If only there was a way you could cross reference it and find that info despite what Dr. Tom said
that's why i provided the link showing that Dr Tom was off by 1 pick from the NBA Draft from 30 years ago. Les was not the 27th overall pick (as Tom said in the interview); he was the 28th overall pick

You should write Dr Tom to tell him how outraged you are.

Dr. Tom is very gracious and a super guy to talk to.
you guys ask some great questions. the story about Les bringing back that sheet of paper when he went back to see Tom was great. You could hear Tom get choked up.

Also, @Suterman , it was you, correct, who said "BJ didn't tell us that." That was a great moment. It's incredible that just one guy was thinking about leaving when Raveling left & Tom arrived and it was because BJ didn't think he was good enough to play B1G basketball.

Had Les Jepsen in an evening MBA class a year or two after his short NBA career. I believe he was using his money to start a venture firm or something
