My old laptop finally crapped out and I'm looking for a new one.

I'm looking for the Toyota Corolla of laptops. Reliable and inexpensive. Easy to set up.

Preferably one I can order online.

Thanks HROT!

I just bought one after seeking advice here. Be prepared for some good advice and a fair amount of ridicule.

I ended up buying an HP Pavilion with a 17 inch screen, i5 processor, Windows 10. Works extremely well for what we wanted. Cost under $400 at Best Buy shortly after Christmas.

I would look on eBay for i5 or i7 being sold off lease. The off lease is important as they'll be in lots of 20 or more and are year or two old, quality business machine without bloat ware.

The seller will split the lot and sell one or two. Should be able snag one for around 250 to 350. Much better mache then an off-the-shelf HP or Lenova at Best Buy or Wal-Mart.

Don't do it..... Just invest your money in quality so you don't have to replace every few years.

Might also consider one of the hybrid laptop-tablets. I've been wanting one of the new Yoga's

I have been buying off Dell Auction. Getting refurbished Dell Biz laptops. Had very good luck with them. Just register and start bidding. Works great!

How about a chromebook?

Those any good?
They are limited, almost more of a Google lifestyle device than a real computer. Not a lot you can do with them when you aren't connected to the cloud. You might investigate a microsoft surface just to make your life more complicated.
