my opinion Iowa would like,BUT, will go elsewhere:

** this will leave 2-3 avails for seniors who develop late/transfers/surprises.

What makes you think AVG to Minny? I still think he is a Hawk lean - no inside info other than a good friend who is a USD alum.

I'd think the Hawks staff are higher on Boyce,Turner, and Nelson, in the defensive backfield than Scott. 3 were invited to the recent tailgaiter/camp. 1 had his previously scheduled visit "pushed back"...no current return invite scheduled by the staff..

MN has a edge on VG. Simple math. The talent level at the position is high at Iowa, not at MN. He will see the field at MN, at Iowa he will compete for game time.

I have no idea if this is the case, however if a kid is afraid to come in and compete then you don't really want him anyway.

Does he want to win and go to good/great bowl games? If he came in and worked hard then there's no doubt he most likely play.

I guess we will know soon with his recruitment.

FYI: you better worry about MN beating us much more the NDSU. They came up and down the field on us last season with ease. So the bowl comment could be mute.

Scott is a Pitt lean from what I've heard and he's been quiet on Iowa lately. Daniels is a 3-4* at DT not De. I haven't seen Greenwood as a 4* anywhere but I could be wrong. But I have seen Yeast as a 4 star on some sites. Names like Boyce, Hippenhammer, and Nelson should be on there as well

So the way I'm hearing this is VG was disappointed out of high school, not receiving due attention from the Hawks (& other FBS) and attends USD and tears up the FCS football world as a freshman. So he throws his hat back into the big water, only is now only partly interested in Iowa, because they snubbed him first time, but still interested in ALL his options now that he is a 4*, but now Mn looks better to him as he is probably kind of afraid that he couldn't play at Iowa because they're too good at his position?

Recruiting is not for the weak of heart, that much is certain

I think VG and Daniels become Hawks, and I base that on nothing, but as my profile picture says, I know nothing about everything. VG reminds me of Chad Greenway, and I think he could play DE or LB so Iowa will find a place for him. Daniels, now that Decom Juan is out of the picture, and Calloway is on board makes him a more likely candidate.

Daniels is a DT all the way at 6-2, 310.

Don't forget about Boyce and Turner at CB. Also, I could see Soko? the RB as a possible walk-on. He seems to really like Iowa. If he doesn't get any big offers, I could see him walking on.
Pretty sure Soko has been invited to the upcoming tailgater/camp, by the staff.

Yeast will be visiting IC again towards the end of this month. Iowa is recruiting him as a corner. Ky had been recruiting him as a wr when he de-committed from them.
