Kennedy in the State finals tonight.
Finals: Patrick Kennedy (Kasson-Mantorville) vs. Quayin Short (Simley)

I believe Short is the only wrestler that Kennedy did not win by bonus against this year. Certainly one of the few.
Districts last week:
1st Place Match – Patrick Kennedy (Kasson-Mantorville) 32-0 won by decision over Quayin Short (Simley) 41-3 (Dec 11-6)

Kennedy is a 170 at 182 and Short spent much of the year at 195 and dropped to 182. I think Christiansen best Short at Cheesehead.

Anyone heard anything about TNT and M* chatting with Bennett Berge. He just won his 3rd as a sophomore at 170 and might slot in nice after Abe and Glazier. Gotta think PK is in his ear about the Hawks. Not sure if that bridge was burned after Brock Berge flamed out or not.

Bretli Reyna won the Florida state title too. By fall. Pinned his way thru.

One would think iowa will be in the mix for BB. Will be interesting to see how his brothers career plays out at PSU with the current injury he’s dealing with. Also, the guy he beat in the finals was a freshman who is ranked in the top 10 pfp in his class. another prospect to keep an eye on.

Jake and Q are first cousins. Their respective fathers Willy and Wade were in the corner coaching if you watched the match on track. Their uncle Chris (older brother of the coaches) was doing the play by play for the broadcast. There are a lot of Shorts at Simley!
