I agree. Iowa State isn’t that good this year.
They’ll get bounced first round if they sneak in. I see a lot of losses in their future. They could end up in 8th place in their own conference.

I’m actually at the highest point of apathy with Iowa basketball. Fran won’t change. It’s just that simple. The movie has been played out so much it’s boring and predictable.
That I can fathom. To have 4 wins in 12 years in the ncaa is a fire able offense.

That, and it’s the same issues. Fran can’t recruit top notch guards, poor defense, and poor rebounding. It hasn’t changed in 13 seasons.

Ah, they are currently #20 in the country AND they are in 8th place right now in the league.
I do think ISU is a paper tiger but their record is what it is. #20 is totally fair. They also play in the toughest league this year so lots of opportunities for good wins. Iowa doesn't have that luxury.

This team has 4 players that are capable of being above average B1G players: Keegan, Kris, PMAC, JoeT and Sandfort at least has the pure form to turn it on as a 3pt shooter.
Of course it is possible for this team can get hot and make it to NCAA---but Fran would have to change things up and that is something he never does.

There is hope for the future if Fran gets his ass canned. If not, expect more low mid-major recruits with 1-2 legit big ten players and coaching that gets the least vs. most out of the team. This is classic Fran. Don't take ownership. Don't say they wanted it more and your team played soft. Don't say you played Ulis instead of Joe, which was a bad decision. Instead imply that the refs screwed you because that is how an overpaid underachiever handles things. Bottomline, PSU guards aren't great, but they are better than awful, which is what Iowa's guards are.

This is such an odd comment. Fran recruits low to mid major talent, maybe has 1-2 legit B1G players, and does the least with the most(laughs in confusion) yet Iowa routinely finishes in the top half of the league.
