Remaining matchups

I don't see Fish or Amine winning against Iowa do you? I see Iowa winning 133,149,157,165 and 197. And Angelo can beat Plott as well. 184 will be fireworks
Amine has shown the ability to win big matches in the past including vs Bull, it won't be a cake walk. Fish has performed better at 157 this year, I favor a healthy in shape Teemer but it remains to be seen if we have that.

^^^Iowa needs to beat Okie State to ensure fans don't start to think Iowa has been replaced as the biggest threat to PSU.

GA probably loses to Plott, maybe by major.
Ferrari can win vs Plott.
And if that happens, you burn the shirt because Ferrari potentially can make the semis at Nattys and becomes a title threat THIS SEASON
Losing 3-1 vs CStar at PSU tells me he can win a title now.
Nah, I don't think we do that.

Although if we see another lackluster performance from Gabe, you have to start to worry about his post-season chances. But not so much that you bench him.

If we were a title contender, there would possibly be a decision to be made. But we're not.

No, you don’t pull his shirt to move Iowa from 2nd at NCAA to 2nd at NCAA. That’s just dumb.

Can ARNOLD get to 174? Is NELSON ready to go? That MIGHT be my plan and post season line up!!! ARNOLD down at 174 and NELSON at 184. OBVIOUSLY I am ASS-u-ME ing many things here, but what I think I know is. ARNOLD appears better suited for 174.

NELSON was already an AA and IF he could get back to form, I would believe he would AA again. FERRARI certainly could bust up the 184 bracket and possibly WIN it!!!! That being said, I would be looking to save that piece of "ammo" for the bigger fight!!!

NOTHING against KENNEDY, He battles with the best of them and is a true IOWA HAWK thru and thru!!! I am just looking to put the best people on the mat without screwing up future years!

I think you’re way off on both. I feel very comfortable that we win 57 and 65 without a lot of 3rd period drama/anxiety. I think both Teemer and Caliendo will have comfortable leads going into the third.

You don't have squat.

Tom did make the choice to sit Gabe. Tom gave Estrada a choice. Estrada chose to go.

It's not that difficult. Perhaps you should go haunt some other board.

You just reiterated my post verbatim and apparently somehow have an issue with it. Too funny - you can't make this stuff up.

With the momentum from the David Taylor hire, you don't think there will be the perception that Okie State has leapfrogged Iowa should they finish higher than the Hawks this season?

Cause I think that's exactly what happens to high school recruits going forward.
Finishing a STRONG second is an absolute must, imo.
Ferrari points vs Arnold points could be minimum 10-12 pts.

Nobody cares about who gets 2-3-4. We've done that for years but yet we are booking top recruits this year. Angelo will keep shirt and get 4 years remaining IMO.

Penn State starts 4 sophomores and 2 freshman - all of which will be upper tier AA's. Not sure who they have coming to replace Kerk, Carter or Beau but I'm guessing all of them are AA possibilities as frosh next year.

141 they've Blaze coming in
184 they've Ryder in RS
Hwt they've Mirasola in RS but I think they go get a HWT for 1 year

And very few people give a crap about looking down the road four years either.

Eh. I’d be ok passing on getting short term transfers and having a less successful year if it meant reinforcing culture and commitment to long term success. Which I think is the ultimate goal.

Too many things can change in 3-4 years.

PSU might have the luxury of doing that, Iowa doesn't.

Wrestle AF now. Costing at least 10-12 points if/when vs GA qualifying.

If that were the case 174 might have been a better spot.

I just don’t think it’s reliable to be hoping there will be transfers available at need weights year in and year out. The past 3 years I think they’ve been on the right track with high school recruiting. Hoping it continues

NIL has changed the landscape...A LOT.

Iowa and Okie State have set the market.
There will be many high level guys/AAs willing to change schools for $500k every year going forward?
Why do you think Figs from ASU has had his name mentioned.
Bo and Jax have now set the bar for elite high schoolers.
To me...recruiting high school wrestlers for the top 5 college programs has become less of a priority.

I understand the market and nil. My point is to be challenging for 1st I think u better have a full roster of hammers you’ve been cultivating and not hoping and praying to poach some other team. In this I don’t disagree with smalls. There’s some scumminess to it.
