I do believe this is the first time Juwan Howard has been in Carver Hawkeye since the follow up game after that faithful night.

I can't help but think that Chris is looking down with a warm smile, and watching over all of our Hawkeye faithful on this cold winter night. Stay safe out there friends.

Howard played at Carver the following year as well, Michigan won 71-70. Howard and Rose both stayed through their junior years, only Webber left after his sophomore year.

I'll clear it up for you. Want of bees.

Good subject. I saw a lot of games in Carver in those days. But, beating the Fab Five... in the first game after that saddest of all Hawk days... was the most emotional win I can remember.

When the game came on tonight and the camera focused on Howard, that night came back into my mind. And my thought was, “Let’s beat him again, Hawkeyes.” Sweet win. And, maybe Chris was in the building.

This is not helpful at all.
A few years ago someone used the phrase want of bees when they actually meant wannabes. Ever since then if a poster uses a word or phrase incorrectly they may be said to have done a WOB, the acronym for want of bees. In your post, fateful night was probably what you intended, rather than faithful.

Still chokes me up to this day watching that or anything associated with what happened 31 years ago. RIP CS#40.

I was in the Indianola Middle School gym this past weekend and saw the mural and the display case with Street memorabilia. Brought back fond memories of one of my all-time favorite Hawkeyes. What a waste.
