Fortunately for America, they can't since they don't control the House. Apparently Trump and the Senate can't do it by themselves.
But if they could, they should.
Why?
Because the Democrats must regain control of the Court. And the only way they can do it - barring a terrorist attack on the Court or something equally implausible - is by expanding the number of Justices and appointing several who will act to defend democracy, human rights, and the planet. Which we don't have now, and it's almost certainly going to get worse with Trump's next pick.
So . . . if the GOP could expand the Court to, say, 17 Justices, and pack it with 8 more choices from the Federalist Society, Evangelical groups, the Koch Network, the Better Business Bureau, and white supremacist groups, that would mean the Dems would have to basically double that. Which I'm guessing would be nearly impossible.
