Republicans still unable to find Obamacare replacement

this. or go back to the way it was.
why the heck does anyone need a replacement? that's like replacing robbing banks with stealing cars.
As some of you may recall, my main reason for supporting Obamacare at the time was not because it was particularly good. It wasn't. But it broke the 3rd rail status of the health care system we had - the one that left so many people in trouble.

So . . . going back to what we had is not an acceptable option. Moving Obamacare more toward universal care and fixing the obvious problems is a good idea though.

Don't replace it, just get rid of it. Obamacare is just the latest program (along with Medicare/Medicaid) that hides the true cost of healthcare from people allowing healthcare providers to provide reems of unnecessary care and charge exorbitant fees for it. I say this as someone whose income benefits substantially from this phenomenon.

Yeah. Universal healthcare is SO good in the countries that have it.

Could you point to a single politician anywhere in the world running on the idea that their country drop universal care in favor of an American health care system? Just one? Anywhere?

That's what I was going to say. Just go back to way it was.

Great! Take away affordable health care from millions of Americans who've been able to obtain it for the first time, and send them to the much more expensive Emergency rooms where we can all pay for their care like we did before. Also allow their lifetime coverage limits to be capped so they'll be SOL when they exceed their caps, and, once again we can all pay for the difference, like we did before. Also take away coverage of children up to the age of 24 so they can return to the more expensive emergency rooms and we can all pay for them, as we did before. Oh, and allow companies to deny coverage to anyone they choose, so they can return to the emergency rooms and we can all pay for it, like we did before. Yep, things would be just peach keen then!

The point is that Obamacare and Medicare/Medicaid do NOT provide affordable health care. They merely disguise the true cost from consumers so that doctors, hospitals, and pharmaceutical companies can provide more care at a higher cost. It FEELS like we are getting a better deal but the real cost is just being shifted, and it is NOT being shifted from poor to rich. In fact, quite the opposite is true. Younger people who are in general poorer than older people are being asked to subsidize the costs of unnecessary and overly expensive care for older people. The primary beneficiaries are relatively well off health care providers and companies. Obamacare and Medicare/Medicaid are actually massive weath transfers from poor to rich. Data is already emerging showing that ER visits and unnecessary medical testing and therapy are up drastically with the implementation of Obamacare.

A very simple solution to help control HC costs is to open the borders and allow Ins Co., to sell anywhere...

Ok I'll weigh in on this. I am a Conservative who normally is against stuff like this. However when I retired from teaching I looked at all forms of coverage including continuing my state sponsored coverage. When everything was taken into consideration and the dust cleared I chose Obamacare...it was 200 dollars cheaper than the coverage I had. Now I don't know how good it is because I am in great health and haven't had to use it but I chose the cheaper plan.

Affordable? Not for many, just read all of the articles day after day regarding the costs for many people when they have to access the system. Deductibles and co-pays are forcing many to just stay home

I am very close to the healthcare industry-another shoe will be dropping soon. Wait until you see the premium rate increases which will be requested by many companies for 2016. It should be called the "Unaffordable Care Act"!
