Senate Republicans want Elon Musk to stop talking about Social Security, and the Department of Government Efficiency to leave it alone.

Musk’s statement that Social Security is a “Ponzi scheme,” and his plans to cut up to 12 percent of the Social Security Administration’s workforce, are giving GOP lawmakers heartburn.

They warn that Social Security reform is known as the “third rail” of politics for a reason: Any party that touches it is likely to get zapped come Election Day.

And Republicans fear that reductions in staff and field offices will boomerang on them, predicting constituents will grow frustrated if it becomes more difficult and time-consuming to address problems related to benefit claims.

“It doesn’t help the president when you have somebody who clearly is not worried about whether or not Social Security benefits are going to be there for him” leading the effort to shrink the Social Security Administration, said Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), referring to Musk, the world’s richest person.

I actually got my SS statement via email and was trying to log into just to see the numbers even though I am 10 years from retirement. I could not access the site.

THAT ain't going to happen, Musk has no idea what SS means to many retirees.

I accessed and downloaded my most recent statement just before Turdump took office. If my bennies decline one penny then Elon better learn to serpentine like a mofo.

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but Dubuque citizens asked Assley Hinson to come to a town hall this week and she either didn't return the call or said she wouldn't attend.

So they set up a stage and put a "cardboard cutout" of her in a chair and held their meeting.

The video clip on the TV news last night was fricken hilarious.

She's such a stooge.

Musk is a foreigner who overstayed his college student visa and has no connection or appreciation of American values, history, or institutions. He's never known anyone on SS, will never need it, so wants it to no longer exist.

He's a Globalist Elite with a $10bn partnership with Chinese President Xi and has regularly had private phone calls with Putin for years.

Musk's Multi-National Corporate interests and goals have absolutely NOTHING to do with strengthening our country, and in fact are openly undermining US world leadership and dominance.

I can see this exploding like one or four, MUSK engines. He isn't the brightest bulb in the US OF A. Hang on tight until this clown, MUSK is history.
