Anybody been to Napoli's on 1st avenue? Any good?
Haven't been to Vino's in Town and Country mall for several years but always had good meals there. Is it still pretty good?
How about the newish Butcher Block on Blairs Ferry Rd . I'm a fan of the other one by Coe, but haven't made it to the newer one.

I've really enjoyed Bata's in the New Bo district and looking for another restaurant along those lines.
Many thanks!

I would think Vino's to be one of my favorite restaurants in CR. It's very old school, small and intimate, and has fantastic food. Napoli's is a great locally owned Italian alternative to Olive Garden, and reasonably priced. I want to like the new Butcher Block more than I do. The entrees that I've had have been good. The Sandwiches are good but I never like the bread. Most of their sandwiches are on a very dense French loaf or pretzel bread, both of which overwhelm the sandwich contents. They do offer a solid beer lineup, including local brew for Lionbridge, and Big Grove breweries, and the outside patio is great when it's nice outside.

I agree with you about Bata's.

I liked it and would go there again. If you're looking for Italian food, Popoli's downtown is definitely an option. And for traditional (northern) Italian, Vino's has been dependable for decades. Finally, it's a small chain, but Biaggi's has consistently good food and service. Olive Garden would be my fifth or sixth choice in the area, at best.

I've heard really good things about Cobble Hill downtown on 2nd St. Haven't been to Napoli's, but I've heard its not bad. I've enjoyed Bata's every time I've been there. Butcher Block On C Ave/Boyson is good as well. Bad service just about every time I've been there (weekends), but the food was good.

Thanks for the suggestions.

We (whole family) are interested in Italian and last time (around the first of the year) we all went to Popoli's and a fantastic meal was had by all.

Think I'll give Vino's the business this weekend. Probably should make reservations since it'll be 10 or so of us.
