And Carton and Holloway got the Flu in the 3rd period. Brooks came down with it about 30 seconds into his match. Hate being sick!
Sorensen actually had a wicked case of the flu too, if hes not sick i think he beats Retherford easily!

Gunther and Wilcke also had the flu in the first period but their immune systems kicked it out as the match went on.

This is actually true. I know a guy who knows a guy who knows Sorenson's Dr and I am told that Sorenson had the flu and could barely stand up 60 mins before the match. Can you image what would have happened if he were healthy?
Also, I just wanted to point out that Mark Hall was way undersized for 174.

Yep was running a 108 temperature. Had the squirts and couldn't eat for a week. Should be a hell of a match next time, when both are healthier.

1. If a PSU guy loses it was because he either was too aggressive and the opponent used it against him, or the opponent stalled out a lead or they had the flu.
2. The PSU wrestler is the only one who can improve after wrestling a guy for the first time. If by chance its the other way around. See #1.
3. If a top P4P kid commits elsewhere, it was because Cael never wanted him and isnt part of the plan.
4. PSU fans have now surpassed Iowa fans as the most thin skinned, unreasonable, arrogant, easy to hate fan base. IMO I thought this day would come after enough success. It wasnt easy but its officially here! Congrats!

Actually, it was Retherford that beat Clagon 2-1 last year. I apologize for the OP. He brings discredit to the PSU fans coming on your board and posting that. I posted on the PSU board that I think Sorenson deserves a lot of credit for being much more offensive this time around and Zain deserves credit for gutting it out when both wrestlers were exhausted. It was a great match. Many PSU fans on the PSU board did not like the issue of possible flu being raised. I have no idea if there is any back-story or not. But when you wrestle. . . no excuses. A great effort by both wrestlers. B1G's should be fun!

Clarion is in no way defending "him". Trust me when I tell you, no one hates that vile creature more than Penn Stater's. just to put this OP comment right ...I was at practice today and both Cael and Zain said there was no 'flu' ....Zain in fact was very complimentary of Brandon's effort and game plan
This tracks...In prior matches, Brandon would move forward, forward in ties and Zain would take advantage of it. Nobody moves Brandon laterally in the country...except Zain. So Brandon had to increase his lateral movement/footwork and not let Zain be comfortable setting up shots. It worked. BTW, Zain was running back to the middle in the third period...looked pretty good for a guy who had the flu.
