A few take aways:

We have to trust our own eyes to identify players that meet our criteria:

- Tough kids win
- Connected groups win
- Groups that serve each other win
- Kids who play with a level of humility win

Identifing kids with those characteridtics early is critical because the physical skills are obvious.

Hearing that tells me that many of the kids in the portal won't fit his style or personal characteristics. Those that do, are players who want to play for a winning coach.

They are times when things need to be fixed, but what you really need to do it get a new one.

Iowa basketball needed a re-boot, and it got one.

Out of a thousand players, there are a lot of guys in the portal that would welcome a chance at Iowa. Ben just needs to find the ones that fit.
