Ricky Davis #37 on top 50 most over rated NBA players

I feel for Ricky D. He got Clevelanded. He woulda been really good as a secondary scorer on a good team.. if he was ever on a good team. If he was younger and coulda been w lebron later on instead of lebron coming to "Ricky's team"... he's twice the player of JR Smith, james jones, etc.

He was one of the best mid-range shooters I've ever seen. He would absolutely flourish in today's nba.

Wish the Hawks still had a relationship with him. I know he never really accepted us or DPort but id love to have him back for a game. Highest last iowa draft pick im assuming?

Also his performance in the dunk contest with vince Carter... two hands. Two hands. But he ****ed up on the first attempt. One of the most forgotten awesome original (at the time) dunks. He did what VC did but w 2 hands at the end. Aggghhhh. Love Ricky

I think about what he could have become with the proper guidance. There was a great article where he was talking about his career.

Maybe the most talented player to ever come out of Iowa, but he obviously didn’t have a love of the game. That’s the difference between a player like him and a player like Michael Jordan.

how appropo for the NBA. There's not a professional sports league that over hypes their players and "stars" more.
Why is stars in quotes? I'm sure you're the standard Iowan who doesn't watch the NBA yet act like we should listen to your opinion on it; but I'm curious on the quotes.

I tried to get through the list on my phone but too many advertisements. That said in the 40 through 50, I saw Paul Pierce, Shawn Kemp, Draymond Green, Latrell Sprewell, and James Hardin. Probably the clickbait portion of the list.

Many of those pimped as super stars for marketing purposes aren't... sort of like the article implies.

Who's "acting like you should listen to my opinion"? How exactly does one "act" that out? I just think the NBA over plays the individual star angle, something which is a conscious marketing decision. They make lots of money that way...it's worked for them.

That's what an "opinion" is. Some agree, some disagree...I don't care either way. You're entitled to your opinion too. If you prefer to attack the person rather than disagree with a view point...that speaks volumes.

BTW, I grew up in Iowa but haven't lived there in 25 years. Also used to attend NBA games regularly (Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Boston, Phoenix & Detroit) but grew tired of the style of ball. Proceed with flawed sterotype.

It sounds like this list should be 50 most unrealized talents in NBA history.
