I spent the summer after my soph year of college working out at UCSB and was blown away....to imagine places better (I trust your son, he's been to more than I have) is crazy.

It is a beautiful campus. Easily the prettiest I've seen personally. Tom Selleck gave the commencement address at my son's graduation. John Wooden was scheduled to speak as well, but he cancelled due to illness. Did you ever have the Sunday buffet at Dukes?

I liveIt is definitely a cool area. I live about 3+ hours from it so it's a bit of a drive, but I go every summer for a rugby tournament and I always look forward to the place.

SLO is one of pretties areas in country. Nice beaches, great weather and fun Main Street. Wish him the best on the court and getting his next degree.

I love Cal Poly, but having been to all three, UCSB and Pepperdine are both far better. If you are sitting in the stands of the baseball field at Pepperdine, the backdrop is the Pacific Ocean below the hills of Malibu. Cal Poly does have a beautiful campus though.
