Back in the day I represented Sherwood Cryer—the joint owner of Gilley’s. He told some great stories about Gilley’s. It had burned down way before I got to Houston. May have to watch Urban Cowboy tonight

Fun fact. Two of his cousins are Jimmy Swaggart and Jerry Lee Lewis.
His appearance in Urban Cowboy, his place and the music were great!
Gilley's Pasadena was legendary. A club as big as a warehouse.
The whole soundtrack was awesome. Mickey, Charlie Daniels, Johnny Lee, Anne Murray, Bonnie Raitt, Boz Scaggs, etc. etc..Fantastic!
