Too bad for them, but, Johnson & Johnson made a fortune off of the drug, even after paying a mammoth fine. Tom Ashbrook had investigative journalist Steven Brill on his NPR show On Point today, and he detailed how J & J knowingly marketed a drug outside of it's approved range. How they calculated that they'd make a fortune, and how the CEO walks around a free man, even though he was intimately involved with the whole affair before he took the top job. In many instances CEO's aren't held accountable because they are judged to not be responsible for every action at a company. In this case the future CEO did know.
Risperdal had good uses, it wasn't great for boys going into puberty. It caused many young boys to grow breasts. A horrible side effect for boys, many already suffering from disorders of anxiety and self worth. If you choose to listen to the show you'll find a lot of smart discussion about the over medication of our children, and a looming battle over how drug companies market their products. Think free speech. The drug companies think they have a friendly Supreme Court and will push to be able to pump up their sales pitches to praise their drugs even outside approved uses.

If I had breasts as a teenage boy I probably would have gone through lots of Johnson and Johnson lotion.
