A real BEAST of a ball player back in the late59’s and 60’s. Power hitter, tremendous arm and a brilliant all round ballplayer. There was always one of the Southenders that insisted he be “Rocky Colovito!” whenever there was game game of “work-up” to be played at the Swimming Pool Park in the summertime.

One of my dad's favorite players during his teen years. I heard a lot of stories about him when I was a kid. Colavito had an incredible arm, perhaps equal to Clemente although it's impossible to say. He'd regularly make throws of over 400 feet for publicity and during make-shift contests.

Ok, I guess. Not a hall of famer. About the same stats as the Cardinal's Jack Clark. Kaline was the best of the three for sure...

James is full of Cardinals bullshit on this one…..with all due respect. Rocco was a way above average ballplayer. And, a “good guy” too.
