We will have a group of 24-28 going to both. Had been planning to be at the FB game months ago and had a smaller group, when we heard about this, it kind of took off.

It should be a hell of a day. Will probably have a minimum of 2 separate "drunks" going on....

will need to brush up on my tailgating abilities.
The 'brew crew' will be crackin buds for breakfast. Should have at least 10 in my group.

Okie state FB plays at Iowa State that day. Will be interesting to see if it is a night game. That would certainly help the wrestling somewhat as there are some that will go to both. How many? who knows but will be some.

Pollard might not cooperate with that if he has any say

I would EXPECT Pollard to do everything he can to NOT let any ISU/OSU fans be able to attend this.

We will have our family with our season tickets, plus this is the football game that my family is coming over to. So, there will be an additional 8 tickets that will join us in Kinnick for Iowa wrestling.

Wrestling for Life has already received requests for well over 100 tickets. I'm confident that we will break our dual meet record from the Penn State meet a couple of years ago. I'm hoping we can keep pace with requests. One of our corporate sponsors is stepping up, but we may need additional help.

I was in Carver yesterday--Ordered 60 extra Grapple on Gridiron tickets.. No taxes, no handling fee. $10 each!

Lets make this record hard to beat!

So I know that the season ticket holders get first crack at the best seats in Kinnick. I am not a season ticket holder (nor is anyone in my group), so will be stuck with suboptimal seats if I order them late. Do you think there will be a lot of season ticket holders ordering extra tickets that I might be able to buy off later? I would suppose there are going to be good seats scalped from people planning on going but had to cancel late, too.

Thoughts on the best way to get good seats if you are not a season ticket holder (with the ability to order early)??

As long as I am asking, do you think there will be good tickets being scalped for the Olympic Trials and Big Tens at reasonable rates?

I would think that even if you are near the 50-yd line or further, you'd actually have a better seat than someone 30 rows up in the south end zone.
You'll be in the stadium to be loud and be counted, but let's face it - you'll be watching the action on the video board.

Those are my thoughts as well. This isn't just on the coaches and university. It is on all of us to spread the word and get it done right. We want championships and stud recruits. It's all our responsibility to make this a blockbuster event.
Thanks for the extra push hwksforlife, based on your encouragement I just made arrangements to send our entire High school team and coaches to the Kinnick meet! Let's get on board everyone and fill up the stadium!

Be careful that none of the high school kids are potential college wrestlers. The NCAA monitors us for this. Giving such a kid a ticket may be a recruiting violation. This is why we only give tickets to middle school kids and younger.
