He is an establishment guy and obviously wants the establishment to stay in control of things. The only thing that surprises me at this point is that Mitt hasn't endorsed Rubio. I figured he would with Massachusetts coming up on Super Tuesday.

Now someone tell me again why the GOP isn't one, giant clustermuck?
I'm not sure anyone is arguing against that. When you're the big tent party with a variety of ideas and people with varying points of view, things can get complicated. The one thing the GOP has going for it right now is excitement about a future that sees a break from the recent trend of kow-towing to the left-wing media's point of view on every topic. Trump doesn't play that game.

It's going to be an interesting year. You've got Republicans hoping to preserve what helped to make America great, and you've got Democrats trying to continue down the path of ruining everything that is American and creating an ever more dependent populace. The bad news for the democrats is that they have one of the most dishonest women in history who is unlistenable at any moment of excitement and an insane old socialist as their options. Yes, the election still favors the left due to the media and the weakening in the American people's will to do the right thing, but right now, it looks like Trump is 50/50 at worst. Now, that doesn't mean an electoral win yet.

Rs see themselves as a big tent party? The same Rs who call anyone who wonders away from orthodoxy a RINO or even a liberal commie? I don't see it.

You make several good points, but when we get to the point of one on one debates, Trump will not get by being so vague with his talking points.

This "We'll start winning again" and "I know a lot of smart people" chants of his won't work when pressed for specifics. He makes great sound bites, and he's really good at playing to people's emotions, but I think some here underestimate HRC's communication skills.

She will destroy him in the debates... and if he gets to the point of the personal insults which, to this point, he has not been able to refrain from... he will lose massive support on the National stage.

My intellectual side wants to agree, but I just don't know anymore. Today some voter asked Trump how he could trust he was really a conservative. Trump went on for 5 minutes praising the former criminal Governor of Virginia about how friendly he was to businessmen like him and never did give an answer. Note it was being super friendly with businessmen that got the guy convicted. He can fill a lot of air saying nothing.

This.

Trumps a smart guy....he knows he only has to say what dumb folks want to hear.

Build a wall......make America great again....nothing specific.

Those people just have to stand in a different corner, away from the table with the juice boxes and cookies.

People have been predicting this for months. Yet, he just gets stronger. At what point do you admit that this works for Trump, and it will continue to do so?

you have a team of basketball players in Perry Iowa comprising black and hispanic kids who have to endure shouts of "Trump Trump Trump" at the games they play. Trump has won. Big time. Trump knows what gop voters want, and it's not detailed policy prescriptions. They don't care about tax cuts for billionaires, they don't like Mexicans. Now we get to see if the gop can win a general election on this anti Mex platform.

Trump is not "anti-Mexican".... he's anti-illegals. Do you not understand the distinction?

because there is no gop, it is a bunch of leftist loons, democrats, posing as r's. rinos. the left is one giant muck. that's why trump is winning, he is smart to separate himself from that garbage

since elections are not won with votes, then probably not, the bilderbergs install the prez. next time this happens is in may.

The difference, if he opposes HRC, is going to be the same as when he insulted Fiorina. There's a different response when he insults the guys he's facing now. He got a totally different one when he attacked CF.

Whether you choose to believe this or not, it will not be received well against a female. It simply won't.

It's going to depend on what he says, obviously. If he attacks her appearance, it will look bad but if he attacks her past and policies, it's fair game. He already went after Bill's indiscretions when she said he didn't like women.

I'm hoping for a really personal fight. Something like Trump referencing some promise Hillary made when he paid her to pass some bill he wanted.

Trump: "Remember that time you came up to my golden tower and begged me for campaign money?"

Hill: "I don't recall it quite that way."

Trump: "Oh you begged alright, barked like a dog for me. I told you I wanted that regulation removed. You remember that? And what happened? You voted to remove that regulation for me. Don't tell me you can't be bought, I bought you."

Hill: "Well that hurts my feelings."
