Sounds like good timing given talent/experience for that year.
UCONN, Syracuse, and Oregon will all be at MSG with the Hawks.
Awesome field......that should go a ways towards fixing strength of schedule issues...no doubt we will need more good teams on the schedule, but this is pretty sweet.
What's more exciting is that Iowa should have the talent to compete with any of those three schools
Nice. Should be 2 quality non conference games. Now we need to get to Maui for 19'. Haven't been there since Horner and Brunner's Jr year.
Surprised those other teams are willing to play in the heart of Big 10 country.

Aside from frans first year or two we've played plenty of top tier teams in the non conference. The challenge is to eliminate the half dozen games against the absolute bottom of the barrel teams we seem to play annually. Once Fran established a foundation he has been more than willing to face challenging teams in the non-conference. Participating in this event is certainly exciting as a fan
But they'll also play ISU, UNI/Drake, ACC team, and most likely a Big East team. I do agree they need to stop scheduling 5+ teams with an usual RPI of 250+, though the ones involved in tournaments are out of their control.
Wasn't that when we played UNC and lost? Pierre Pierce was with us then coached by Steve Alford. I was there.
