ISU is doing well against Baylor in the second half but can they hold the small lead?

This Hawk fan is rooting for them to win tonight. How far will IA's RPI drop if they do?

It will help Iowa's RPI a little.

But Iowa needs UNI, Delaware State, Memphis, UVA, and Seton Hall, UND and others to start winning. That will help their RPI as well.

Oh great , if ISU wins there will be wall to wall Randy Peterson in the Rag.

I'm not sorry for the jinx! lol... would have been nice either way. On another game, PSU is on fire at Mich. Mich can't buy buckets, did IA deflated them for PSU? PSU, MN, NE, and Nw are all tough this year. Good thing we got Rutgers still for the whipping boy.

How is ISU going to be next year? They lose a ton and Prohm is no Hoiberg as far as recruiting or getting the transfers.

They're bringing in a stud PG but that won't solve their interior issues.

And that stud guard comes from the same Oak Hill that provided us Fleming. That does not inspire confidence in me. Bacon? Or the guy that committed to Penn State and backed out? The guy that committed to Ohio State and transferred? I didn't look these up so I might be wrong a bit. But I'm pretty sure the track record hasn't been that great, lately.

Fleming didnt even start at Oak Hill

Link please. According to the stats I followed all year long he started close to half the games. He and the guard playing for Penn State enjoyed pretty much dead even starts and minutes.

I know what you're saying dan, but probably need to leave Bacon out of trying to prove your point. He's likely an all-ACC player this year. Generally, Oak Hill players are exceptional in college.

I wonder if Monte had another big postgame celebration planned for Baylor last night? Maybe one day he'll actually win a game on the road and get to break it out.

Why on earth would any Hawk fan root for ISU? I don't give a flip if it helps Iowa's RPI or not.

Yes, especially in a year like this one where Iowa's RPI and resume aren't likely to be close to an NCAA tournament bid.

Prohm might be a good coach, but my impression of him so far is he basically lets the players do what they want. Cyclones are talented enough to win a good number of games with that approach, but doesn't work so well in close games.

They really aren't. They have one above average guy in Monte Morris, the rest of the team is nothing special.

True.

Good game by ISU just couldn't close it out. Probably their best game of the year. Baylor will likely be the new #1 team next week.

Huge difference man. Have you watched them? He is the leading scorer on the team full of studs. Preston is a 5 star PF going to KU. Coleman is a top 30 PG being recruited by Duke and Texas among others. They have one of the top Junior big men starting as well. Also a top 100 kid going to Creighton.
Fleming didn't start and was a 3 star unranked recruit.

Congrats on adding another quality loss to the resume! Really padding that column so far.
