I personally think he did terrible and did repeat the same thing about five or six times. However, I believe the establishment/fox news loves him and they want him to be the nominee. It just amazes me how his supporters are coming out talking about what an amazing debate he had. I tend to agree with Christie, I don't think Rubio is the most qualified/ready to be president. However, as I said I think the establishment wants him. Rubio will be the nominee.

I didn't realize just how scripted Rubes is, and that will probably give the establishment pause. Christie made the Dems work easier should Rubes be the nominee. From here on out, everybody will be watching to see if he spits out his little script.

"Let's dispel the fiction that Obama doesn't know exactly what he's doing." [paraphrased]

Is there anyone on the right who thinks otherwise? Who is he arguing against?

He knows exactly what he is doing! When I'm president America will be ______________ some reference to great, strong, etc....

Rubio got destroyed by Christie early on but after that I think Rubio came back and was pretty solid the rest of the way. The strange thing was I think Christie coming out as an "attack dog" with his sights clearly on Rubio ended up being beneficial for Bush and Kasich but not Christie. He came off as a bully and not "presidential" in his manner. Also, the next time Trump says anything of substance, it will be the first time. How ignorant can voters be to not see through that guy?

Newt Gingrich actually thinks Trump had a good night. Said he was calm, more presidential, and had more substance.

Rubio has not even served one full term as a U.S.Senator
His absence from being a voting member of the Senate
cannot be excused. His youth shows that he lacks any
significant accomplishments or experience in D.C..

A business man like Trump or a Governor like Kasich or
Christie can point to accomplishments and experience.
Rubio lacks any executive leadership in the real world.

Lute, if governing experience is the major criteria you are looking for, might I suggest Terry Branstadt as your candidate of choice?

There it is folks, the scripted line the GOP establishment wants voters to believe
You love Trump, and that's fine. It's your right.

He's a complete joke.

If the GOP is serious about winning, then don't send the guy that Republicans like the best. Send the guy who has the greatest appeal with independents. That sure isn't Trump or Cruz.

Trump's night was phenomenal. It was just superb. Of all the nights that people have ever had, his night was the best, simply a sensational night. He wins nights, and knows a lot of people who do nothing but have simply outstanding nights. If you want America to have great nights again, every night, vote Trump.

If the Democrats had another Obama or nominated O'Malley I'd be concerned. There is not a candidate left for the GOP that can't beat Hillary or Bernie.

Sounds a lot like the guy who currently occupies the White House.

People who say Obama failed because he was not qualified or experienced.

Rubio's pedigree is very similar to Obama's at the same point.

So he's trying to say Obama was very successful in what he wanted to do; he just wanted to do horrible/evil things.

Looks like another Republican who cannot spell potatoe.

.

Remind you of anyone in 2008?

Kasich did a pretty good job. I like Rubio but the whole experience thing makes me leary after the last 8 years...

A very nuanced argument.
