270+ rushing yards and 5 rushing TDs against Illini. On the road. Good for Rutgers. For the first time since joining the B10, they are not the worst team in the B10. On the scary side, Iowa couldn't run the ball against the Illini until the second half. At home. Bad for Iowa. Hopefully Iowa can pull its head out of its ass next week and figure out how to play before the first two quarters elapse.

Not the worst team in the league, good for them.
How long does the Lovie era last at illanoy?
They are really bad. A turnaround doesn't look to be on the horizon.

Iowa 45 Illinois 16. Thanks for your concern though.

Compared to 35-24. Our margin of victory was nearly 3x greater than Rutgers. But they are great and we need to pull our head out of our ass.

That really is football. Every fan base in the country but a few have felt this way. How does MI feel after losing to MSU and going to OT with Indiana. USC has lost one, plus beat TX on a last second play, and beat Utah by 1 pt yesterday. Washington, the #5 team, lost to a 3-3 ASU team. LSU was ready to throw the towel in on their season and fire their coach, a dumpster fire, especially after losing to Troy. A huge LSU friend of mine made a post on Facebook asking if a coach had ever been fired mid game, as he wanted Ed walked out at half yesterday. They went on to knock off #10 Auburn. The list goes on and on this year.

Lovie to Neb, Riley to Ill?
As long as KF stays at Iowa the league is safe. Interesting how a fan base whose team has had the most continuity at HC in CFB can be so incredibly mediocre. In KFs tenure tOSU, Michigan, PSU and Nebraska have All had down cycles and Iowa has zero to show for it.

Yep, zero. We should just shut it down. I for sure can’t understand how we still have fans. Seriously glad you are here to fill us with your wonderful wisdom. LOL.

Lol this guy sounds like his sphincter is shriveled up, why you mad? I enjoy penciling in Illinois as a win every year - doubt you're really a fan of them. Wank off nebraska fan

So you think Lovie would be interested in the Nebbie job? Butch Jones to Neb?

So you wanted to show us that historically Iowa has a better football program? Thanks for the help.

No, he wants you to be impressed by all the wins Illinois amassed over Iowa between the 1890s and 1950s that contributed to Illinois having 5 more wins in the overall series.

Illinois is 1-9 against Iowa over the last 10 games. Since the 1960s, Illinois is 16-24 vs Iowa. So, yes, clearly Illinois football is so much better than the Iowa football program.

Lovie Smith will have a short career at Illinois. He
got his money and that is all he wanted. Lovie will
become a Defensive Coordinator in the NFL as he
finishes his football journey.

Ya, Lovie is definitely not a college coach. He doesn't have the passion for this game it seems like.

That's what makes me wonder if Neb will try to steal him away from Ill.

my take on his link was to show the 4 NT to Iowa's 1 but here is a fun fact he refuses to acknowledge
2 shared BT Championships
2 8-0 BT records
1 BT West Division Title,
2 Orange Bowls
1 Rose Bowl
5 top 10 Final AP rankings
and a number 20 final ranking

just what has the Illini done in the last 18 seasons?

They are playing about 15 true freshmen this season. The test for Lovie will be how much better these guys get over the next 3 years. Ferentz and Dantonio were able to do it. Part of me hopes Illinois does get good again. It's a good rivalry when both teams are competitive.

No thanks, love seeing Illini suck. We generally recruit Illinois hard, so a good Illinois would hurt our recruiting, and our schedule is tough enough as is, it’s nice having a guaranteed win in there.

That's not how the football works!
