Rutgers would be a good place to get our first road win in the Big Ten

That would put us at 5-5 with a rematch against Nebraska a week from this Sunday.

Agree 100%. Hawks have a legitimate shot to get to above .500 in the league over the next week. Rutgers will not be easy. Scarlet Knights are actually good defensive team, but have been really poor on offense, Iowa has to bring a good level of intensity on defense or will be in trouble. Rutgers will make things more difficult for Iowa to score. They have better/more bigs than does Ohio State. Can't believe I am saying that but it's true.

We are firmly in Rutgers' crosshairs. They've got as much momentum going as they have in some time. A disciplined effort is what we sorely need to have a chance.

Brady and Jordan will need to be on their games from outside to loosen things up inside. Leaving Carver last night I said to my wife that this is the most competitive top to bottom I ever remember the league being.

Rutgers PG played quite well against Wisky, so our defense will need to come with same intensity. I like our 3-2 zone when the back line are talking well and getting good backside help. Much mor effective than our mna

Rutgers spent a lot of physical and emotional energy in that game yesterday. Had a NINE-point lead slip away at the FT line in regulation, then faded in OT.

A big key for Iowa will, as usual, be to get out front early. Rutgers could be flat after giving such a great effort against a top 20 team, only to lose. But that can't be taken for granted. Build a lead early, though, and I think Rutgers may wilt.

It should help Iowa that Rutgers is coming off a
heart-breaking loss to Wisconsin. They expended
much energy and emotion which will be difficult to
rekindle against the Hawkeyes. The Iowa win over
the Buckeyes filled our freshmen will confidence
and hope. Look for a Hawkeye win over Rutgers.

Rutgers is not a bad team, I hope you're right.

Then we need to get the Baer Cage out on the floor to START the game... Not as a 6th man.

We came back and won against them too. They are a rebounding beast of a team and their pg is really good. Going to be tough to get this one although it would be a good point to get the first road win for the boys.

Look for a Hawkeye win...

Where have I heard that before? Oh yeah, right before the games @ Nebby, @ IL and @ NW. Winning on the road is tough - if the Rutgers guards don't get called for hand checking / bumping it could be a long night. Hope I'm being overly pessimistic and your prediction is accurate.
