Ryan gets the nod at 141 for Okie State

Appears it's official. Logan Ryan will be taking on Heil at 141 on Saturday.

Didn't mention if it was because of Carton being "dinged" or not, just said he's in. Lost to Heil last year 8-1 I believe, so he's got some ground to make up.

I'd rather see him go all out and get pinned than try to keep it to a close loss.

Heil had some gas tank issues at the all star as well as against Dziewa last year. Pushing the pace is the recipe for Logan and he has that much in him. Might not win but don't expect him to wrestle to "keep it close"

watching the andrew long match made me think he will keep it close because he didn't back down and fought all the way to the end. i like heil in the match but i think if ryan can frustrate him with pace and movement it will be a close match for him.

Win or lose, all of the Hawks need to push the pace and let the fur fly on Saturday. There will be a lot of first time fans in attendance, and 2-1 matches aren't going to create any new fans.

Gotcha, I agree that he is capable of keeping it close by wrestling hard. My bad on the interpretation.

Other than rain or losing to OK st, lack of action leading to close boring matches is what I fear most. I'm bringing some first time spectators with me who I've tried to get to Carver for the longest time. Only reason they're coming is to fill the time until the Football game. This will be the Hawkeye wrestlers first impression for a lot of first time spectators I imagine, I hope they make it a good one.
