This is the reality. You can't plug in a far left dem who is losing both of the top 80/20 issues at the moment and expect to win here. Especially as more is revealed about her relationship with an NGO actively facilitating the border crisis in Iowa.

I freely admit I don’t know much about this gal, but IA 3 will be a top target for Dems in the midterms.

Dems have to win Iowa #3 this time to put sanity back into the Congress.
She’s a great senator for our district. Gonna be tough against Nunn. She’s a fundraising machine though so hopefully she can break through. Defeating Jake Chapman and then a very popular Dallas County Supervisor this year shows she has chops. Just hope she can connect with a few rural voters since that’s where it will be won or lost.

I don't know anything about her, but she's very telegenic and well-spoken and appears from the clip to potentially be a very strong candidate.

Let’s see where this goes the next 60 days or so…Dems are oft too quick to fall in love with their candidates…and in recent years, this has worked against them.
It is imoortant that T-G clearly state her record and not allow Republicans to set it for her. Republicans are masters at defining who their opposition is, and other than Polk and part of Dallas Counties, #3, is awfully red. If the Dems are gonna win this time, they have to win in a few of the rural areas if the district.
Personally, there is very little I find to object to with T-G. I think Nunn is Trump/ Puke.
However, most importantly, Iowa #3 is crucial to Dems regaining control of the House. They need to nominate themselves a candidate who gives them a chance.
Honestly… the Congressionals are pretty much “cut and dried”…Iowa Populations are spread out pretty much and not “evenly”…I think the way the state legislature is divided is a lot more controversial…
I was more referring to the actual county map.
The most obvious are where they had to throw in enough rural counties to offset CR in District 1, IC and Scott County in District 2, and Polk County in District 3.
In each of those three, the maps just look weird.
You won’t get an argument from me about how the state legislature is districted…it is NOT Dem friendly at all…and hasn’t been fir the last couple of re-districtings…but Iowa is pretty “upfront” about how things are done politically….. and winning those crucial “10 year elections” is paramount to political control in Iowa.
