US Open(sr nationals) is the following weekend. Very important tourny for qualifying for OTT.
Not sure which college guys will compete at it, but leaving the schedule open around that weekend makes a ton of sense.
B1G will air all but one(Northwestern) of Iowa's conference meets.
So is Iowa at Northwestern or at home? The schedule posting is a bit confusing. Says Iowa at Northwestern but gives Iowa City as the location. Asking for a friend.

You guys must be new to Iowa wrestling because a long layoff is a thing every year. Not sure senior nationals are even a factor, but maybe. They are off one week for finals then the number of possible events is at a minimum going into Christmas.
2022: 19 days
2021: 15 days (Rofkin special event)
2020: everything messed up
2019: 21 days
2018: 21 days

I was going to post something similar. Always have a couple weeks for finals and the week before Christmas. But, I don't get why you have "all messed up" for 2020. The season was normal up until NCAAs.

It is a reference to the 2020-2021 season which was "all messed up" because the season didn't even start until January. You're talking about the 2019-2020 season.
Weren't tickets for wrestling, free for students in the past?
Maybe women's basketball as well?
When I was a student (finished in 2012), the only sporting events students had to pay for were football and men's basketball. All others you would just show your student ID at the door to get in.
In some cases, like the soldout ISU wrestling dual in 2008 where they knew demand was high, they made us "buy" and print off tickets to show at the door but the price was free
