Anyone else a little upset with the way this last week was scheduled? I haven't seen anything posted about this, maybe I missed it. But how can they schedule Iowa to play a game on short rest while giving Nebraska a bye week the week before? Just awful scheduling if you ask me.

I see your point, it would be better if the Big Ten office scheduled a team's bye-week when their opponent has at least a seven-day rest.

They have only been scheduling games for 12 teams for a handful of years, 14 teams for less than that. It's just one of those breaks that goes your way or doesn't. I'm very happy that the UI had a week off after the NU game, we needed it. I'll go out on a limb and guess that Nebraska wishes they had an off week earlier in the season.

It is what it is. Tee the ball up and let's play football.

Hopefully the bye week backfires and Nebraska comes out rusty.

If you think about it, Iowa doesn't really have that much less rest than last week. The Minnesota game got done at roughly 10:30-11 Saturday night, we played the next Saturday at 11 AM, that's about 6 days and 12 hours of rest. This week, our game got done at roughly 2:30 Saturday afternoon, we play again at 2:30 Friday afternoon. So we have about 6 days of rest this week, only 12 hours less than the week before

I can't remember what vid/promo I watched, but one of the changes Ferentz made in the off season was changing practice time/days off. He did that with this Friday game in mind, it is why they have Thursday's off basically.

As KIrk said about his defense you just have to suck it up and play. Will see how Nebbie responds to bye week. Sometimes it wells and setes it doesn'tdoesn't
