At the age of 43, Scott Frost is in the line of succession
of Bill Callahan, Bo Pelini and Mike Riley at Nebraska.
Last year the Huskers had a record of 4-8, their worst
season since 1961.

Scott is expected to rebuild the program and compete
for Big Ten Titles. How long will it take to beat up
powerhouses like Ohio St, Penn St. Wisconsin and
Michigan St.?

Stay tuned as the 2018 college football season kicks off.

If one were to go by what NE is currently spending on head coaches (I believe they have to continue paying Pelini and Riley for the privilege of having Frost), SF can also be considered a 9M coach.

I think that frost is a great hire. But in the big ten you also have to play defense every week. That will take frost a few years to build.

I do look for a 7 win husker year. But the hawks win again this year. Do to the hawk defense mostly. And husker turnovers again.

Huskers play at mich, wisky, northwestern, at ohio state at iowa. And plays mich state and home. Wow

They start with akron colorado and troy at home. They will need to start at 3- 0 to have any kind of chance at winning 7 games. They finish with msu at home and then our hawks on the road. Pretty tough for a first year with a new staff. We get illinois the week before we play the huskers. Big advantage.

I’d be freaking ecstatic if they got to 7 wins this year, especially with their schedule. Last year was the worst Husker team I watched in over 30 years of being a fan. Our lines alone need 2 years.

I think 7 wins might be possible with the frost offense. I just hope the hawks are not one of the victims of course. I think the huskers have more talent than people think. Late in the year i think the coaching staff just lost control of the team. Or maybe i should say the respect of the team. I think some of those large defeats should be taken with a grain of salt. With all those chances nebraska will shock someone this year.

If Frost goes 8-4 with their schedule, it would be a world class debut. A winning record this year for Nebby would be quite an accomplishment.

Wouldn't be shocked to see Colorado win in Lincoln this year.

I wouldn’t either. There are way too many Husker fans assuming a victory. I know they were down last year, but they aren’t that far removed from a PAC title game and a top 15 ranking. This offense won’t be a shocker to them. Hoping we can skate by. Would be a great confidence builder.

They are also very familiar with Oregon's/Frost offense and how to defend it.

We Beat Hard around here.

Look at Wikipedia on Frost. Interesting. His mom, Carol, was his H.S. FB coach. He also won the state shot put with a 59' throw. I didn't see anything about him riding a short bus to school. But my cousin swears he did.

His first choice was Stanford...

I didn't realize that the loyal Husker was a 2-yr. letterman at Stanford, before transferring back to Nebraska. This guy is not loyal to Nebraska. This will be a 'stepping stone' for him.

From Wikipedia:

Both of Frost's parents, Larry and Carol Frost, coached his high school football team.[9]

In addition to football, Frost was a standout in track and field, winning a state championship in the shot put. At the state championship meet his senior year, Frost won an all-class gold medal with a throw of 17.92 m (58 ft 91⁄2 in).[11] His personal best from earlier that year was 18.62 m (61 ft 1 in).[12][9]. Frost was also an avid D&D player, reaching level 17 Redcloak status.

Perfect place for a Nebraska discussion. So you are saying the Huskers ended up landing Frost as their head coach? Damn...thought he was going to Florida.

Forgot one Brian Ferentz

First of all, BF is not head coach, and there is a large portion of the Iowa fan base that doesn't want to see him as the next head coach. If he does become head coach, you will not see the ludicrous over-the-top hype displayed by the Mich/Neb fan bases with Hoke/Frost.

Second.....are you seriously taking a shot at an OC whose offense put up 56 points on the Huskers last year? LOL.

Oh, I forgot. Nebraska football post-Osborne doesn't count. Be sure to let us know when it counts again.
