i'm not sure the story has the details right
the way i read it is that biden authorized (in certain situations) a 100%-0% cost share for emergency relief, instead of the typical 75%-25%.

i don't necessarily disagree with the trump admin here...but it is absolutely rich of them to do this after making such a big campaign issue of how NC was shortchanged by biden's FEMA

The best propaganda doesn't use lies, it uses omission.
i'd say that depends on your perception. even with the correct interpretation, trump's admin is pulling back on the support being provided to NC, that's inarguable. biden's admin - who trump criticized as not doing enough for NC - is who established the reduced "local match" (what we typically call the non-federal costs of a project). the trump admin's actions reverse that and could cost the state $200 million.
so does that "totally upend" how the situation is being portrayed? i wouldn't necessarily say so, but i'm guessing you would
Thom Tillis is getting very nervous. The cult members don’t care. It’s an honor to get screwed over by Trump, but NC is a purple state with a Dem governor. Tillis is very vulnerable in 2026, especially since he’s crossed Donald a few times.
