The analysis is a bit vague, but it offers a glimmer of light into how others view the Hawkeyes football program.

The fact that he kept saying how Iowa lost some ‘really good players’ on defense yet couldn’t name Jewell or Jackson by name and only name he could throw out was Wadley makes me think not much really went into this for him. No mention of any current player on the roster(Fant, Nelson, Stanley, etc.) Not saying I couldn’t see it panning out this way but I mean, c’mon you could give this analysis to about any Iowa team for the last 15 years and be right more than half the time.

I'm confused, is this the "make your prediction for Iowa's season" thread or just a thread for this video analysis? The ***/*** heading through me off, because there is no prediction from OP and is missing the "Official" heading in the title.

June seems kinda early for an ***Official Season Prediction Thread***, but I'm sure we'll have more anyway. OP needs to revise title and make his own prediction or remove ***/***. All in favor?

8-4 BTW.

Yeah, I'll take this as an early prediction thread as well.

2019 is the year in which it appears that Iowa will field it's peak team of the decade and shoulder sky high expectations. So it stands to reason that Iowa will produce this year instead: 11-2 or 12-1 -- including a loss in the b1g ccg followed by extensive discussions about KF's inability to win the big one.

That dude's predictions are rather "predictable." He basically chose Iowa to beat the teams they're supposed to be better than, and lose to the teams that could or should be better than them. Not saying he's wrong; just sounded like how I might sound predicting the season for a random SEC or Pac-12 team.

Needless to say, I'd be extremely disappointed with a 7-5, 5-4 season with 3 home losses. I fully expect this team to take the next step.

I think Vegas has us at 7.5, right? 10 wins for sure. This is one of those seasons. We have a lot of moving parts, but the home schedule will work to our favor.

I gave up trying to predict Iowa's win totals for a season because in many games the margin for victory is razor thin. I merely posted this after I watched it because it offers a perspective on the Hawkeyes program (albeit a superficial one). I was not aware the *** represented it was to be an official thread so sorry if you clicked on the thread expecting an official season prediction.

I was joking, but common man... you've been here long enough to know the ***/*** rules.

I predict Stanley will have the typical 2nd year starter drop off we’ve seen from most of the last 6-7 Hawkeye quarterbacks. 6-6 with an early loss to Iowa State. The Nebraska game will decide who gets the 7th Big Ten bowl spot. Winner in, loser out.

This was bad.. I stopped listening after he said they lost so much talent and they were a 8-5 team and could be a bad year.. yawn... usually when the rags predict IOWA low they rise to the top.. I think with the schedule they could pull another 12-0 like 2015 if they stay injury free and win the turnover battle..

Reg Season 11-1
B1G Champ vs Mich 1-0
Playoffs 2-0
14-1
That's my story and I'm sticking with it. (until circumstances change and I have to reevaluate it )

Watched this yesterday. A little dose of the potential reality that could take place. I think the team will need to find real leadership and chemistry in order to do better than 7-5 or 8-4. We will see who brings the attitude and sets the tone for the team and how that translates in wins and losses. I want to see a great season, but temper my expectations.

8-4.

Either lose to ISU or Wisconsin, then lose 2 other expected games and drop 1 complete head scratcher.
