Pretty ugly this week. I could see maybe in September but not in November. It is like a bye week for half the conference. Charleston Southern vs Bama yuck is just one.

well, you have to have one creampuff nonconference game towards the end of the season to take advantage of beating those overrated early season rankings that usually accompany the SEC teams. By this point of the season, the rankings for the majority of those teams have dropped and would not help their SOS.

Been this way in the SEC for a long time. You see some good conference matchups in September, but then you're stuck with many teams having this week as a breather before rivalry week. Plenty of good games out there; we don't need the SEC.

It's just the SEC manipulating their schedule. Many SEC teams get overrated early on. Two teams play the winner gets advantage of beating a ranked team. Even though they are grossly overrated. Then late they need to cupcake it.

They were talking on college sports XM today about how the SEC scheduling was ideal for the way the BCS was set up. Early losses could be erased for better bowl positioning at the end of the year. However, in the playoff era it could end up hurting them because right now, the only teams that have room to move are the ones with big games left. The Big 12, Big 10, and to a lesser extent the PAC-12. I'm not sure I agree with them as I need more data to see. The SEC will have a team in the playoff this year so I'm not sure it really is going to hurt them either way. However, it is leading to a much more interesting November in every other conference right now.

Arkansas is now 2nd in SEC West after destroying LSU and Arkansas lost to Toledo. Ole Miss beat Bama but lost to Memphis who was destroyed by Navy. Me thinks SEC West isn't all that good this year.

The SEC manipulates the scheduling like no other conference. Both Auburn & Alabama have non-con creampuffs before their season ending Iron Bowl. Must be nice to schedule live byes before a big game.
