Minnesota is an early seven and one-half point favorite. This seems to be a little high to me. Iowa has been playing better lately and while they have not been playing the leagues best Rutgers did beat Penn State and Nebraska beat Purdue while Ohio State went on the road and beat Michigan. Personally I believe the Hawkeyes have a good chance tomorrow night and one thing I do know is that it will be an interesting game. This young team will play hard and it they can avoid the dreaded slow start I am looking for a full and exciting game. As always I would rather watch Iowa play win or lose than any other team. In seventy year of following Iowa basketball this is my favorite Iowa team. GO HAWKS

iowa is due to get beat they will not win out. zero chance at that happing.

7.5 points is a clear indication that the fix is in.... expect horrible officiating from the very onset.
despite all that, I think the Hawkeyes will win... and continue to win...
in fact... I believe there is a 99% chance the Hawkeyes run the table.
they are due for an incredible finish.

An incredible finish would be welcomed after last years collapse. I do not have my hopes up. It's not NCAA tournament of bust, guys. We start four freshman. FOUR. In regards to the spread, I think this plays a major factor as well. We have won a single road game all year... @ Rutgers. The Hawks are playing some great ball right now but let's hinder expectations a bit. There is a very good chance we go in to the barn and beat Minny but there's an equal chance we get blown out by 15-20. The consistency, especially on the road, is not there yet and that takes time.

I have been extremely pleased with the development of the young core. At one point in the season the B1G had them scouted and they had to re-adjust. They did just that and are playing some good ball. Finish with a winning record down the stretch, win a BTT game or two and make a NIT run. That would define realistic success for this years team IMO.

Jordan Bohannon gets his own paragraph cause the dude is going to be an Iowa basketball legend. He is on pace to shatter the 3PM record, has outstanding vision and best of all: has no fear. I'm very high on this young core and the incoming recruits. I think the pieces will all come together and we could be talking about quite the special group down the road.

7.5 is about right IMO. I don't know that the fix is in, but I hate our match-ups. We'll have to play out of our minds to get this one in the barn.

I'm too lazy to look it up, but what is our record in the Pig Sty? For some reason it feels like we play like a junior high team when we go up there.
I wouldn't touch that line.

7.5 is right on. Minnesota, with their crazy elevated playing floor (they still have it, don't they?), is a very tough place to win. If we manage a victory tonight, I will be elated.

To be fair, I thought Wagner was starting again, so it is 3 freshman starters? But yes, we play a ton of freshman significant minutes.

Keep going inside, if you let them MN bigs will foul you and foul themselves out. They are a lot like Nebraska but with more depth. Keys will be FT line, we've got to make more than MN attempts, and turnovers. Don't let MN get easy buckets in transition while we need to get buckets in transition.

The last time I posted this picture in response to someone I thought was on crack cocaine if they were serious with their post Iowa beat Michigan in football 14-13. So here goes:

That does seem high. But Minnesota has their backs against the wall. They need this. Iowa needs a road win as well though.

My fear is that they won't because they will get the home town treatment. Life on the road in the big ten.
