If you've ever wished you could post up on a mountaintop forever, then meet your new home.

Ecocapsule is a tiny, 86 square-foot living capsule that, as soon as next year, will enable owners to live virtually anywhere. Each mobile pod comes with sleeping space for two, a mini kitchen, a fully functional toilet and shower, storage space, a desk and two windows.

The pods, which are currently in pre-production, harvest rainwater and remove bacteria all on their own, while powering themselves with sun and wind. Thecapsule's battery can also charge electric cars, Gizmodo reports, making the location possibilities breathtakingly endless -- from beaches to jungles to wide-open prairies.

Pricing for the Ecocapsules is not yet available, but Slovakia-based Nice Architects doknow that shipping the pods to the U.S. will not be cheap -- it's estimated to cost about $2,400 to have a pod shipped to New York City.

Or you could just skip all the kerfuffle and build your own wooden cabin. Ahh, the great outdoors.

As a camper, it looks very neat. As a "home" it seems pretty claustrophobic. I've seen some tiny homes on TV and while they are all small, they aren't all too small. At least I don't think so. But I'd have to actually live in one to be sure.

AT 2400, those will be all over Everest base camp. And honestly, they look like a lot of the rock fields there, so it might be an improvement over seas of North Face tents.

The thing that always makes me chuckle about the tiny home shows is the person wanting the tiny house always wants room for their homebrewing rig, or needs a practice space for their upright bass, or has 6 dogs. I wish they would revisit those people 12-18 months later and see if it actually worked.

I have a college friend that is an itinerant nurse that picks up shifts across the country as need arises. He travels with a tiny home on a flatbed and likes it, but it is just him and his dog.

I read that as costing $2,400 for just the shipping to NY. Not the total cost.
