Sellout for Senior Day

11-0, senior day, and this:

Why is this game not yet sold out?!

Given the walk-up for the wrestling meet today (~10k), fans are willing to get tickets last minute. I'm sure it'll be close to a sellout if not a total sellout.

The biggest obstacle may be the weather. We're a week out, but some of the forecasts for Saturday in Iowa City are not very nice. Should the weather cooperate, it will at least be close to a sellout.

The weather won't stop the hard core Hawk fans.

Just looking at the ticketing site, there's easily 8,000 seats still available for the game. The entire south endzone is like 75% empty.

Tickets are still $30 if you know a season ticket holder or member of the IClub. Log into their account on hawkeyesports.com or call the ticket office and get the $30 price.

Remember, most students will be gone for Thanksgiving. It's up to the gen. pop. on this one!

Not so sure about that one. Last year vs. Wisconsin the student section was full and that was the weekend when Thanksgiving break started. With the 11 AM kickoff, more students will be there than if it was 2:30 or a night game.

Soybean, you may be right. But lots of folks who fill Kinnick are not hard-core Hawkeye fans. And the casual fan won't ignore the comforts of home for a spot in Kinnick if the forecast is in the 30s with snow flurries or 40s and rain...and both of those are possible, depending on what weather source you choose. So I still think a bad weather day could be a problem when it comes to filling Kinnick.

Unless you plan on personally buying about 7,000 tickets, that's one of the stupidest posts ever made on this board.

As noted above, temps in the low 30s and rain expected on Saturday.

Well from few threads I've just read pretty easily to tell that Davy croston is either a troll or a giant negative A hole.

I agree with this. He said attendance will be less than 60k in another thread. I haven't seen the forecast but unless there is a big winter storm moving through on Saturday I'm not buying it.

Horrible forecast + students getting a head start on Thanksgiving travel + Purdue = No sellout Saturday

Will be a good crowd, but nothing compared to Saturday night.

Are you a season ticket holder?

No, what does that have to do with it? I didn't start a thread about this last week because Minnesota sold out. I started several threads about this for games I did and did not attend. This team deserves a freaking sellout, period, keep attacking me instead of encouraging your friends to go to the game with you like the official Tweet from IOWA today said LOL!!

So you don't do your part in filling the stadium, and you want others to do it for you? Got it.

I'm bringing 8 including 3 who have never been to Kinnick for the Purdue game which is the game in question right? Do you got it now LOL, to easy here to easy.
Yeah but I have seen your posts calling for people to fill the stadium for some games but not others. Let me ask you this-did you attend all the games that weren't sold out this season?

I will also be at this game and the Nebraska game, as well as the game in Indy the following weekend, and potentially the bowl game. Count that with the NW game I was at this season, and my game count will be at 5 by season's end. What will be your total, Mr Superfan? And, did you even attend the U of Iowa?

Keep focusing on me and not the major problem at hand, which looks very very pathetic to outsiders and should as well to Hawk fans. But, keep it going LOL.
