Raising the debt ceiling $4 trillion apparently wasn’t enough to get them through the next election.

Looks good for fiscal conservatives.

Yeah I know, which is why I asked the question because there is zero reference to it in the article. It would appear the 5 t figure is the suggested cost per one democrat.
You fall for everything Musk and Trump say, hook, line and sinker but you doubt this?

Do you think the reporter made it up?

It’s in the budget resolution.

This should make for interesting television.

Tax cuts for the uber wealthy adds to the growing income inequality issue which is at levels not seen since the gilded age. Blanket tariffs will just be a consumption tax for regular people which will shrink overall spending by somewhere between 10-25% which will reduce consumption proportionally as a consumer debt crisis is on the horizon.

The amount of recessions, depressions, and scares post Civil War to the Great Depression was pretty intense which of course lead to more and more consolidation of wealth until we got a couple of Roosevelts to stop the robber baron's fun.

On a related note, we are getting closer and closer to elimination of the filibuster. They flat ignored the parliamentarian for this budget.
